About Elizabeth
At 21 years old, Elizabeth Reed is finishing up her college education with multiple film festival entries, and plenty of glowing peer and faculty testimonies. After a grade school tenure of Thespian Honor Society President by day and movie fanatic by night, she joined Ball State University’s Media Department as a hopeful young film maker and is leaving as a seasoned and confident director. With experience including a year and a half as Showrunner of “BSU Tonight,” a semester as Associate Producer on Newslink Indiana, and two and a half years directing and producing for “Radiance Cinema,” not to mention countless one-off projects throughout the years, she exudes wisdom and kindness both on and off set. Read more about her specific accomplishments below.
Elizabeth co-wrote and directed her most recent work for Radiance Cinema, “Leftovers,” achieving a world premiere at Indy Shorts International film festival, as well as peer-voted accolades for her directorial work, and “Most Valuable Crew Member” for her producing work on “Chemistry,” another Radiance Cinema film. Now, she is part of the Radiance Cinema Leadership Team, in charge of leading and mentoring the next group of underclassmen through the program, and is green lit to write and direct another short film in the spring.
Radiance Cinema
In her year and a half as Showrunner of BSU Tonight, Elizabeth transformed the inner-workings of the show. Taking the productivity from one thirty-minute episode a month, to weekly fifteen to twenty minute episodes. She also spearheaded a successful rebrand, introducing “Gertie the Goose” as the show mascot, and implemented teaching strategies that are still used to this day to teach underclassmen the basics of the production process.

Elizabeth was a Dean’s List Recipient in the 2023 - 2024 school year, and plans to continue her education in grad school after graduation. She’d eventually like to return to the collegiate realm as a professor later in her career.
